New Look Cheshire Hike 2020

Plans are moving at pace as the Cheshire Hike Executive team rise to the challenge of making Cheshire Hike more accessible, more fun and builds on its amazing heritage. Teams will now be flexible with 2–5 members; the youngest section will no longer need to carry their equipment, which will be transported from the start to the base camp and then onto the finish. The overnight camp will feature a silent disco for Explorers and open air cinema for Scouts with a big screen they can watch from their tents – how amazing will that be!
There are some important dates for you to put into your diary.

  • Bookings open in November 2020
  • Cheshire Hike launch (information session) on Sunday 13th October 2019, 2-4pm, Winsford

CuBe 2020 – it’s going to be AMAZING

CuBe 2020 will be the most exciting joint event for Beavers and Cubs ever held in Cheshire. It’s a weekend camp 1st – 3rd May 2020 to be held on the Cheshire Show Ground and brought to you by the Chamboree team.

Prices for the event have been released with Beavers and Cubs camp fees at just £35 with all Leaders/Adults paying £8.

Remember this is being organised by the Chamboree Team so Leaders only need to support their Beavers and Cubs over the weekend with all the activities and evening entertainment programme taken care of by the amazing Chamboree Team. There will be 5 camping areas each shared by two Districts plus guests that will be called Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania/Eastern Europe and Americas. Every Group (Beavers/Cubs) will be allocated a Country to research their traditional dress/costume and food.

It will have 5 activity zones created by the Chamboree team featuring bouncy castle heaven, mini adventures, caring for our world, technology gone mad and sports challenges – after all it will be an Olympic year!

CuBe is also going to be a special weekend for Explorers who are Young Leaders with Beaver Colonies and Cub Packs. In addition to supporting their Beavers and Cubs there will be special evening activities just for Explorers.

Don’t forget we have already announced that we will have a circus big topwith a show featuring acts from around Europe and there will be a special arena show on Sunday afternoon and the star attraction will be THE IMPS motorcycle display team.
