CuBe is just amazing! #VirtualCuBe2020
What an amazing weekend this is turning into with our virtual CuBe breaking all sorts of online Scouting records in Cheshire and the pictures and videos of your exploits are just fantastic.

Sunday starts at 9am with ChamboreeX presenting their second “Wake-Up, Shake Up”, which is not to be missed. Having got rid of the calories it’s now time to pile them back on by tuning into our very own Cheshire Scout “Chef avec un Désordre” demonstrating how to make incredible eggy bread. In rehearsal it has caused chaos but we guarantee it will be fun and it sets the challenge – can you do any better?

Watch on YouTube, Facebook and InstagramTV

The eggy bread demonstration kicks off a morning of activities that can be found in the CuBe programme of events. After lunch the activities switch to Experiments – please be careful but send us your pictures.

Bang out the Beat at 4pm
So as we bring our Virtual CuBe to a close don’t forget to get pots and pans ready for the performance that you are creating by beating out the beat. There is still time to get some practice in by watching our training videos here;

You can take part in the performance of Bang out the Beat here and don’t forget to record your performance and send it to us.

COVID-19 is having a dramatic effect on life in the UK and this includes Scouting locally in Cheshire.

Both the County Team and DC’s have been considering our response to this situation for a number of weeks. To bring everybody into the loop the County Commissioner (Graham Phillips) will host a webinar next Thursday to explain the Cheshire County Scout response.

The event will last about one hour with a further 30 mins for questions if required. During this time the following will be covered;

  1. The financial impact on Scouting Nationally, in Cheshire, in your District and crucially in Scout Groups around Cheshire. Subscriptions and capitation fee for next year will be discussed
  2. Action already taken to help deliver Scouting locally and to secure its financial viability in the future
  3. How the County Training Team has adapted to the current situation
  4. The critical importance of compliance training
  5. Digital Scouting is the new normal and all Groups and Sections can now embrace this method of delivering Scouting
  6. The explosion in social media and how it is helping us to keep Scouting exciting

This is a serious topic but there will be some fun in this webinar with a couple of quiz questions and we suspect you will be astonished at the money potentially available to support Scouting in Cheshire.

The event at the 2:30pm and 7pm will contain the same information so please only book one session and there is a limit on the numbers who can join on our system so its first come for the first 100 booking for each session. If there is more demand, we will repeat the session.Please note you need to Register to attend this event, click here

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
