Cheshire Scouts+ January 2019
Cheshire Scouts NewsletterAs we move forward into 2019 there are many exciting opportunities in Cheshire that we can all look forward to. Work is underway to create a revised strategy for the County where the focus will be on supporting Leaders, encouraging more youth shaped activity and delivering our top awards to all sections. As part of the plan there are already some new voluntary training opportunities specifically to meet the concerns of Leaders such as supporting young people with ADHD. The County is working on ways to support young people with mental health issues and to provide activity opportunities for more young people. These are exciting times; watch this space for more details. Graham Phillips |

CensusOn 31 January 2019 the annual census takes place and all Leaders are asked to support your GSL’s in gathering accurate data and making sure the deadline for submissions are met. Groups need to have completed their census return for review by District Commissions by Friday 8 February 2019. When completing the census return I remind everybody of the Scout Law, “A Scout is to be Trusted” – this applies to all Leaders responsible for completing the census return. |
