Cheshire Scouts Water Activities Team are running a Bell Boat permit refresher and permit sign off day at Tatton Park Activity Centre.

Sunday 21st May 2023
Morning Session 09:30 – 12:00
(There is also a separate event for the afternoon 13:00 – 15:30)
Leaders only need attend one of these 2.5 hour sessions

We will need to be flexible due to numbers of leaders who express an interest and the number of Bell Boats.

This course is open to:

  • Members of the Scout Association.
  • Over 18s only.
  • Those who have an existing Bell Boat permit that has lapsed, or who have a current permit and feel that they need a refresher course of the activity. It will add 2.5 hours to your logbook.
  • Those who want initial training and assessment in Bell Boats for a new permit need to look out for a future training course on the Cheshire Scout Website.

£0.00 – there is no cost. All expenses are being met by the county under the condition that leaders use their permit with youngsters as soon as possible.

There will be a full run through of the Bell Boating syllabus and any implications from initialising the activity right through to seeing the youngsters leaving the site.

There is NO provision or training for new permits to be given out. This event is ONLY for people with lapsed or expiring permits.
