WOW – Another year of significant growth in Cheshire

5% Growth – County Total Membership
4% Growth – Youth Membership
10% Growth – female membership, with 20% of youth membership female
5% Growth – GSL’s

Scouting across the UK has recorded its 13th consecutive year of growth with 10,699 new youth members and 9,371 adult volunteers joining in 2018, growing the Movement to 638,827 members in the UK.

Cheshire Scouts have experienced growth with 440 new youth members and 326 adult volunteers joining in the last 12 months. There are now 10,514 young people enjoying Scouting in Cheshire supported by 3,684 adults

There are 14,198 people now involved in Scouting in Cheshire. Our 14th year of consecutive growth.

Scouts Inter County Shooting Competition 2018

The Cheshire team again managed to win the Scouts Inter County Shooting Competition 2018 and also had the best 2 shooters and the best rifle team. 3rd place was also achieved in the pistol competition.

Queen’s Scout Awards 2018

Cheshire Scouts had a record 19 Queen’s Scout Award recipients at the St. George’s Day Parade at Windsor Castle this year. The largest contingent in attendance at the event for 300 Queen’s Scouts this year.

Princess Beatrice of York, representing the Queen, and UK Chief Scout Bear Grylls led the ceremony, and were joined by Ahmed Alhendawi, the Secretary General of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement. President Barack Obama recorded a special video message for this year’s ceremony.

Kolodo (Scout Websites) appointed to redesign and rebuild our website

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve chosen Kolodo to overhaul our website! They’ll be designing and building a new website which will feature the latest information, news and events, as well as encouraging people to join and volunteer throughout the County. In addition to this, it’ll also include a number of bespoke features including:
