25 World Scout Jamboree send-off

We are incredibly excited and proud of the seventy two young people, eight adult leaders and thirty two members of the IST who have been selected to attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree 2023 in South Korea.

To celebrate their journey to the Jamboree, Dave Hopley our County Commissioner invites young people, unit leaders, IST, District Commissioners and select guests to celebrate the Cheshire Contingent’s send-off at a special event on Sunday 16th July at Alderley Park Conference Centre in Nether Alderley. Each unit will give a presentation to parents and guests about their journey so far.  This a special moment for both units and IST before their departure and Cheshire Scout’s County President, the Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, Lady Redmond (Alexis) MBE, will also be in attendance to wish them well.

• Participants and their parents should book on via OSM and are allowed up to two parent/guardian places.
• Members of the IST should book register their attendance below. Unfortunately due to venue capacity, we do not have capacity for IST to bring any guests.
• District Commissioners and members of the Team Cheshire should also book on using the booking facility below.

Participants, Unit Leaders and IST will need to wear full smart WSJ uniform i.e.

• WSJ Uniform shirt/blouse with all badges sewn on (World, District/County, Unit name Tape, UK Contingent, Unit, and Chief Scout’s Award/Duke of Edinburgh’s – if applicable)
• WSJ Neckers (UK & Unit)
• Unit Woggle
• Uniform shorts
• Jamboree Hat
• Appropriate shoes

NB: Official Jamboree unit photographs will be taken with the Lord-Lieutenant at this event. So please coming looking your best!

Guests who would normally wear uniform are encouraged to do so.

Arrival and registrations are from 09:00, refreshments will be available and parents/guests will be able to participate in Jamboree activities led by unit members. We will aim to be finished by and away by 12:00.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

The events car park is called Radnor Woods, this is the first turn on the left after entering through the North entrance. The Conference Centre is labelled as building number 28.

Is there a possibility of bringing extra guests?
